Too soak or not

Soaking chunks doesn't help...it would take a LONG time for it to soak through...if you soaked for 24hrs and then cut the chunk open you'd be surprised how much water DIDN'T penetrate! :D
 
I don't soak mine....
What are you cooking on...if it's a WSM or another "tight" type of cooker..I wouldn't soak...
I don't see much benifit to soaking...thus I don't do it..hope this helps.
