They are calling for a nasty winter weather event today…Freezing Rain and snow we are supposed to get a few feet along with high winds…..What’s a BBQ guy to do? During a Blizzard once the Mayor of Buffalo told the people to get a six pack and just wait it out…Well a six pack just wouldn’t last long enough so it’s a case of beer and a brisket on the WSM. Last night I injected the brisket with a comp injection I am working on and then rubbed it down with my brisket rub…..I am cooking it with Hump Lump and a mix of Smokilicious Cherry and Hickory Wood. Stay tuned…..

Dave, come on, your temps are pretty close to mine! A big burley guy like you should have no problems with that little dip in temp!
Nick it was like 20* this morning..but it was a warm 20* I had no problems with the cold.

we got 25-30 mph winds with gusts up to 50. calling for a tiny bit of snow too. should make for a fun first turkey smoke

You know it's not the cold, Dave, it's the damp combined with the wind . . . . I'm starting to sound like my mother . . .

Brisket is done and I’m real happy with the results…..It didn’t have much of a smoke ring but the taste, moisture content and texture was great. This comp injection I’ve been working on is coming along nicely. It snowed all day with more expected tonight along with some high winds….the mrs is hoping for a snow day. The Chocolate Cobbler was fantastic along with the homemade marshmallows. I’m stuffed.

Glad it turned out great :D You could do voice overs for Norm, maybe a body double from behind  Nothing like cooking in the snow ;)
