Spares from New Year's Day

Talk about procrastinating. Did some spares to ring in the New Year. Also did a rack untrimmed. Probably won't do that again. Woosty, Texas BBQ Rub and SBR. Some fried potatoes and pasta salad for sides.

Don't tell Larry but I prefer the Original Wolfe Rub on ribs.

Hey Smokin' U - Great looking ribs!! That glaze really pops in your photo. Looks like you got a little generous with the salt. It's spilled all over the ground next to your WSM.

I just got Wolfe's 3 Rub recipes from his website. Anxious to try the original rub on some ribs this weekend. I'll post how they come out. Hopefully as nice as yours.

Re: Spares from New Year's Day

Man it was cold that day. Glad that cold streaked finally snapped. I grew up on the St. Louis style ribs. I did one rack with out trimming the top. Keeping that top portion was just annoying. I started nuking the taters for a few minutes before crisping them up. You would never know.
