Thanks guys! Bruce the marinade came out like every other soda pop marinade. Way to much sugar. The WSM was running real hot due to the weather ('bout 270* dome couldn't get her down) and the sugar from the pop burnt. The rub I used had no sugar in it for this reason. Didn't catch the Rock & Rye taste either.
