Fatz,

Dig out the label on the package it came in, it has to be listed if the meat is enhanced with the percentage of the solution.

Take it out. Rinse in cold water real well, hell soak in cold water and change it once or twice. Hit with Raw sugar, then rub, leave salt out of the rub.
Sweet sauce, this can work out fine for you.

Jim, I'm sure you get told this every day on some board or another so don't let it go to your head :!: , but, YOU DA MAN! Good advice, take action when something is wrong, thanks for the post.

Hope you didn't take me wrong Fatz.

From my perspective being fairly green and all, I might have been anxious .. 'what do I do' ....

Simple answer from Jim: worried it's too salty? Hose it down.

We cooked close 8000 pounds of BBQ during the year, a lot for chairity.
I get directly involved on 1/2 of that plus cook for my family and competition. You learn to deal with the product you have in front of you.

In Fatz's case a marinade with as much salt as Dales uses is way overkill.
Soy sauce presents the same kind of problem.
