Peach Wood

Anyone been using peach wood? What kind of results have you had? Is it sweet? Is the smoke mild or overbearing?

I've never used it mainly because I don't have access to it but Myron Mixon's
Jack's Old South Barbecue team uses it exclusively with tremendous results.

I use peach alot. Can't really say if its sweet or not. It is on the mild side compared to hickory or mesquite.

I like it on pork and poultry.

I just cut a peach tree down about 8 weeks ago. I'll let you know this fall!

Can anyone tell me what I might have to pay for a 5x8 utility trailer load? I see 20 pound boxes for sale on the internet for $40, so this wood must be expensive.
