North Virginia guys
friend of mine...
"I'm cooking a pig in a couple of weeks, but I'm having trouble finding a supplier of whole hogs in the DC/N. VA area. I know a number of the posters on the bbq-4-u forum are Virginia-based, but my account has been inactive so long that I can't post over there for some suggestions. Would you be able to find out if any of those guys has a recommended supplier?
Ideally, I want a non-frozen hog and I would like it to be butterfly cut so I can fit it into my brand new La Caja China cooker that I'm trying for the first time."
Any advice I can email him?

I always have gotten good meat from this guy. Call and order a whole pig of the weight of your choice. They can split the backbone for you.

Yep I get good meat from Wilsons as well. Ask for Mya!
If they are unable to help him Jim, tell him to try Fauquiers Finest Country Butcher Shop.
Both of these place are 10 minutes from me, tell him to stop by for some Wolfe Rub and a cold one!

So instead of just telling him to set up a new account.... you've made 4 posts for him....
Your plan seems to be working so far.
