I made my first attempt ever at pulled pork yesterday, and it went quite well. I should add though, that it was only a 4 lb butt that I found at the local Super Target. Being as I have never cooked a butt before, I thought this would be a good place to start. I rubbed it down with Head Country about 1 hr prior to placing on the old ECB. It took 4.5 hours to cook it to 170, at which point I wrapped it and cooked it for another another hour to hour and a half before pulling it at 190. I let it rest for 30 minutes before pulling it. Overall I am very happy with the results and may attempt another small one before trying something a little bigger. <center>

Dont be afraid to do a larger one. Throw it on and let it do its thang. In my experience its been pretty easy to cook a good butt!
