MH's Booby Chicken, Cackalacky Lollipops, Grilled Onions...

MH's Booby Chicken, Cackalacky Lollipops, Grilled Onions...

I couldn't fit the whole menu up there. And Filet Steaks.

My jeep gotta fuel leak so I had to walk to the darn store to get me some limes and wangs and bacon and stuff. Shew but a beautiful day out there.

Today I'm gonna attempt to make me one of them Booby Chickens for the first time and throw her in the oven. Then I'ma gonna prep me up some Cackalacky Lollipops my buddy Page taught me.

Also will prep up some onion slices held together with tooth picks for grill and bacon wrapped filets too. I have some corn I'll shuck and butter and garlic up for the grill as well as some other fresh veggies to go on.

That don't sound like a full grill I better thaw me out a big pack of thighs too.

Back in a bit with the first pictures. Sure felt strange in the store holding up and comparing lime nipples but oh well.

Had to wait a tad past noon so I could crack a pop.

Got all my stuff out. No store bought rubs or sauces as all my cooking is from scratch and Fresh.

I used my Eskimo Ulu knife to go in from the top to get inbetween the skin and brest meat. I cut my limes with an upward lift cus know this chicken wants to look as yound as possible.

Next I made an aluminum foil bikini top after buttering the whole bird up nicely. I slapped on some of my special bird rub. [JB you got some coming]

I couldn't find my darn beer can rack so she's beach tanning on that rack. Did I lend you my can rack? You better bring it back.

Now to prep them Cackalacky Lollipops.

Just preped the Cackalackylolipops.

Here is my work space and ingredience.
http://www.mikehedrick.com/bbq/foodp...lolipops01.jpg

Cut around the bone and slide all the meat to the top and remove lower meat and skin. And then wrap with bacon

Next hit them with yer favorite Rub. I tossed the others in Olive Oil, The Lime juice and a touch of seaseme oil and them my rub.

I then preped a couple Filets. with granulated garlic and salt and pepper only and wrapped in fat bacon.

Booby Chicken didn't work that well. Green Limes shown through skins and oven temps much hoter than a smoker burt through the skin some.

Rough cut some Onions, Zucs and Mushrooms. Tossed in Salt and Pepper and granulated Garlic and a splash of Olice Oil.
http://www.mikehedrick.com/bbq/foodp...onsteaks03.jpg

I took that pan and made a water pan in grill.
Then heated the veggie open wok and thru on the chicken and steaks and beans.

Man I slept in late.

ahhhhh

That was just a full sized aluminum chaffing pan I used and nothing special bro. I mixed the veggies in it and then tossed it in the open pit grill as a water pan is all
