Marinade for brisket (flat)

Salt And Pepper is great. You need to know how the meat tastes before going crazy with pumps,rubs,paste,exc. You learned to walk before you ran. Right? My 2 cents. For what it's worth.
 
I agree with ya SueZQ, youngin's need extra care! A good rub will give the meat an extra level of protection from drying out. Wrap in foil when it plateaus, and give it a nice long nap before serving.
