Well I decided to do the Veal Shanks, braised style tonight,
here's the start;

Startin to sear the shanks.......




About there.....


Starting the carrots, onion and celery;


Throw em all together before the oven roast for about 2 hours;


Lamb's got about another 30 minutes....gettin ready to start the Risotto. Will post final pics when ready.
 
Startin the Risotto;



Risotto is ready, little asiago cheese;



Lamb Shanks are done!



Served up with the Risotto, lamb was excellent, very rich tasting but overall great.

 
Good job MBF, lamb is something I don't do that often, probably should do something about that.
 
I've never tried lamb. That looks great! I'm very adventurous and love trying new things, maybe I'll actually find some lamb in a store one day and give it a go. lol I saw it a couple of times at Walmart but haven't seen any in months.
 
Shanks were good but a little too rich for me. I prefer a rack of lamb, not as 'hearty' as the shanks, but I would do em again.
