Well, yesterday's Labor Day cook went pretty well. I had cut up two chickens and let them marinate in Hoover sauce overnight and then in the morning I took them out seasoned them with some Knox's Yummy Chicken Dry Rub and set them in the fridge on a rack/pan to air dry a bit.
Potato salad was made and ready to eat!

Next up was mac & cheese. Fresh grated gruyere, white cheddar and sharp cheddar.

When I went outside yesterday morning the Traeger was looking a little depressed so I decided to use it for yesterday's cook. Glad I did because everything fit on the Traeger all at once and with all the bad lightning and thunder and almost sideways rain it meant for me less time to be out there. One bolt of lightning looked like it sturck two yards over and the resulting thunder, well, let's just say I moved like lightning.

The chicken just about done I decided to make a sauce using some Hoover sauce, honey and some of the Yummy Chicken rub. Half the chicken was glazed with that and half with another homemade sauce.

Actually the mac & cheese was done before the chicken.
No elbow macaroni at home so I used some noodles.

Wow what a feast, everything looks top shelf!!!

I love the Yummy Chicken Seasoning too!!! I wish he would sell it in bigger packages though!!! (hint hint Bryan)

I just want to say, I know this is an older thread but I am new here and the chicken and mac and cheese looks so good! I never heard of Hoover sauce but will be looking it up!
