July 4th chicken cook

Like I said in Watcha Cooking for the 4th post we cooked 24 chicken halfs, smoked sasuage, 3 packs of boudin, 2 packs of johnsonville brats and hot dogs. Others brought baked beans, potatoe salad, Texas style toast, 2 cakes and homemade ice cream. Good time was had by all. The kids stayed in the pool all afternoon.

This was the case of chickens

Brats and boudin

Chickens rubbed down with Klose poultry rub

Chickens on the smoker

Chickens ready to come off the smoker

Man I love doing this

Cook em at 350 and it takes anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get the breat to an internal temp of 170.
