Have you Heard?

Oh, have you not heard? It was my understanding that everyone had heard...

A-well-a everybody's heard about the bird
B-b-b-bird, bird, bird, b-bird's the word
A-well-a bird, bird, bird, the bird is the word
...
A-well-a don't you know about the bird?
Well, everybody knows that the bird is the word!
A-well-a bird, bird, b-bird's the word
A-well-a... (dammit!)

Just one simple pic.. cuz I was busy stuffing my fat face and it was GooOOOoood!

It was pumped with an 8% solution (wife picked it), so I didn't brine it... stuffed with apple, onion, orange, thyme, rosemary, and sage. Oiled and S&P'd ... 225 on the smoker with 2 chunks cherry and 1 chunk hickory. ... 14.5 lbs, took about 5 hours.

Re: Have you Heard?

Well that was a fine little ditty. Enough to make a red headed Irishman want to consume a wee dram whilst dancing a jig. Fine looking bird too.

mostly for the pan drippings...I had a foil pan under it and made the gravy out of those and reduced turkey stock made from the neck and giblets.
