I'm all wooded up here!

No, I didn't OD on Viagra! I cut up two sacks of wood logs into chunks for smoking in the grills. I went to pick up some chunks at Academy a couple of weeks ago and the better deal was to get a big sack of logs and cut into chunks. So, doing some shed cleaning I decided not to put it off and make some room in the shed. I took the table saw out and cut the logs into two inch long chunks. All I have to do if I want smaller chunks is wack it with the hand ax.

I have Mesquite, Hickory(which I love), and a couple of woods I already had, Orange and Walnut. Of course I found the sack of Pecan after I put the saw up.

Wood is good. :D I got some apple from my pal down on the farm last week. Calls me when he trims the trees. Just have to drop off some pulled pork next time I do a few butts. If I don't, he may not call me next time he prunes the trees. Free apples, free cherry's, free cider, (in the fall) How can I not hook up him with some Q! one hand washes the other.

Nice selection of wood you got there, you're very organized ! Never used orange or walnut, I would have to order it, none sold in town here; what type of smoke do they produce?
But really, You bring up Viagra  Seriously, I so wanted to write a "come back" , but I was good :D

I bet you were. :D

The walnut is a strong smoke producer I use sparingly. Good for wild game or brisket mostly. The orange is a light smoke I like for chicken and fish.

Thanks. I'm going down south soon, I'm going to see if I can pick up some other types of wood for smoking. I've used pecan, oak, cherry, apple, mesquite, hickory, guava, kiawe, alder..... besides the walnut and orange, how much more is out there ? I love trying new wood flavors !
