Frozen Butts ?

One of the local grocery stores has vac pac butts at .99 per lb.

I am thinking of buying a couple of vacs and freezing them for a while. Does it matter whether or not I take the thawed butts off the shelf or should I ask for some frozen ones from the back ?

I figure the ones out front for sale have been thawed once already.

If they've got frozen ones, I'd get them. Why not avoid one extra thaw/freeze cycle if you can?

Every time meat or vegetables are frozen and thawed,
they lose texture and moisture....ask for frozen. Now if
I can just get another Captain to agree with me...

Go frozen if you can. Plus it less taxing on your own freezer.
