first try with picnic butt pics

My wife bought a picnic butt, almost by accident. We haven't done one of these before, so I read you do them just like boston butt's (the most likely kind at Sam's, the picnic came from Aldi's)

it worked just about the same, I had it on for 12 hrs, it came up to 195, and I had to leave for several hrs, so I took it off , foiled it, and let it rest. I pulled it and sauced it later.

out of the package it looks different, with a bigger bone, and a big exposed fat cap, came right off though

do any other wives think it is weird we take pictures of what we cook??
 
My whole family thought I was nuts taking pics of food when I first started out.
Nice butt!
 
Yeah me 2, They always said you're a dork lol, I have done many picnics, they are just as good as butts...little more hammy kinda flavor, lots of skin to render down after to make cracklins yummy! Urs came out great nice cook
