First Shoulder

I am new to BBQ and thought that I would try a fresh pork shoulder. I have
a Charbroil electric H2O smoker. Our guest will be here shortly. I hope they enjoy it. OBTY Here in Florida it is 77 degrees and sunny.

Dad??? Trekr...so you did it on a smoker or in the oven...I couldn't quite tell if you were waiting for the smoker or not. BTW, Airboss has a Charbroil elctric water smoker too...he has had a lot of success with it!

Treker, how big was the shoulder and how long did you cook it? What rub did you use?

Trekr, what you have got there is a picnic. The bottom half of the shoulder. I prefer that to the butt if it's just me I'm cooking for. It has a great rind on it that gets all crispy and smokey! Welcome to the fun!
