First cook on my new Superior Smoker

Everything worked great. Only 2 adjustments made all day. Wife was happy with the chicken , so was I . Pork is not done yet. Will pull later tonight after the big kids ball game.

Used WRO on the Butt

Looks mighty tasty. Look like you snagged a fine pit. I might buy one like that one of these days.

waiting on the pork report...how does this compare with similar cookers like Stumps, etc, pricewise?

Here is the butt. I didnt use enough wood. Still learning. cooked very nice. Yes I seasoned it the cooker.

Pictures look a little dry. That is photographers fault. As you saw I was cooking at 250. When I added wood for flavor, it burned more than smolder. Cut it back to 225 and wood smoldered great, just already had wrapped the butt. Will start at 225 next time and move temp after a couple hours of smoke. There is a lot of metal to heat up, took almost 1 3/4 hours to get to 250. Once there never moved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember, this is my very first food cook, and I am thrilled with the pit.
