Several times I've smoked 'em as a unit, skewering 'em together and applying a generous amount of rub. I don't recall actual times, but they smoke pretty fast.
Like JP said, they grill up very nicely. I started grilling "country style ribs" back when the 18 1/2" kettle was still shiny.
