Was it dry?

I have never had luck doing just turkey breasts without them drying out,.....but have never brined them first either...is that the trick?

Every breast I've done I have also brined. They come out nice and moist each time!

I just did a 5.5lb turkey breast for Christmas eve.....rubbed it down with some sage, olive oil, garlic and other special spices. Put it in my roasting pan and threw it in the oven til it hit 160*. All I have to say is that I was skeptical about the breast in the oven but it turned out to be the juiciest breast I've ever eaten.....I was really surprised how it turned out and would do more in the future Considered brining but it was for in-laws and decided it wasn't worth the time.....
