Chicken Explosion????

So I saw this 1970's cooking show on tv where the guy was taking all of the bones out of the whole chickens. He stuffed the whole chickens with sausage and then baked it in the oven. I was thinking that this will probly work with a smoker. so it would be possible to make bacon covered-chicken-stuffed with sausage...

or just settle for the traditional turducken.

Re: Chicken Explosion????

I saw Graham Kerr do that years ago and attempted to debone a chicken like that and failed. So I had the butcher do it. It was good and I am sure on the smoker would be great.

Graham Kerr. Way too funny. Wish I was half in the bag when that boy was cooking. He was hammered all the time.

Re: Chicken Explosion????

If you cook it in a smoker, be certain the cook chamber is up in the 350* range. Otherwise, bacteria can develop inside if the low temp/long cook time is used. Good idea, though.
