Anyone ever tried using chestnut wood? The mother in law had a tree cut down and they sawed it up instead of leaving it in logs for furniture wood. I thought it may be similar to pecan.. although I have never used pecan but I know some do.

Thanks

Gary

I have heard it's good. I wish I could try some. Let us know how it is. I would be tempted to have it milled for furniture making myself, if it were a big enough tree. :!:

I agree.. but the idiot that cut it down sawed it up into chunks.

You don't want to use any of it. Put it by the side of the house and I'll stop by and remove it for you.

Good Q!
