Actually I have a buzzard to cut up today. Raining, but the cue would be nice.

Any ideas how to do it? Dry rub?

You left out a few steps (based on watching my grandmother, back when I was a child):
1. Chase down the chicken in the yard and catch it.
2. Wring its neck, to assure its docility during the remaining steps.
3. Dunk it in a cauldron of boiling water to help with step 4.
4. Remove the feathers.
5. Singe off the remaining pinfeathers and hairs, using a rolled up newspaper as a torch.
6. (Now you can start with the knife.)

Hey we grow lots of smog. It's entering smog season here. Some of which actually comes from the Ohio Valley. Then, I used to live in a neighbourhood which had a waste treatment plant ... upwind ... that doesn't incinerate.

Anyway, off-topic.

Wow, that takes me back. Larry. Old School Rules! But it was me to catch the damn thing and clean it. Pin feathers suck.
