I think the overall flavor and moisture factor benefits from some kind of injection. Especially on a high heat cook.

I injected a couple of draws of reg broth and then filled the can back up with wooster.

I can smell the injection as it leaves the brisket and hits the dry water pan.

I thnk it adds more moisture than flavor but the meat has an extra beefy flavor.
