Beef ribs in Beer?

I don't think it will add that much different flavor to them, just a little. Are you smoking them the first 2 hours or in the oven? 3 hours in beer are gonna be a little mushy I think. JMHO.
 
I think the idea is to use only a small amount of beer in the pan to mix with the fats & juices, then use that as a mop sauce.
