Back up till at least the 60's they sold Jay Ireland's Canned BBQ around Whiskeyta Falls. Was actually purty good stuff. Don't think they make it any more. Notice this place got canned bbq if you want some.

my granny used to can homemade breakfast sausage. As I remember, it was about a billion times better than anything you can buy in the grocery store. It was always weird going down in her basement and getting a mason jar full of meat and noticing that it wasn't refrigerated.
