Thought I would try something different today. First time, (yes really it is) I smoke some Baby Backs and first time to smoke Turkey Legs. I have three legs rubbed with three different rubs.
On the left Knox: Jamacian Jerk Seasoning
In the middle Wolf: Original Rub
On the right Big Ron's Hint of Houston.
Painted the BB's wit a little cooking oil and rubbed them with Big Ron's Rub (Original). Also first smoke on my new Weber grill. It is an 18 incher I picked up for $40 on Craigslist. Came with a Weber grill cover, charcoal seperator and a small smoker box, also in brand new condition. Click on the Photo to see the slideshow.
To be continued. . .

Update, everything was great! I had not had a Turkey leg since the last time I went to a Carnival. Click the link to veiw the slideshow.
Thanks for Looking!

The ribs were great. I have come to really enjoy Bullseye BBQ sauce. It pairs up well with my spice. What to cook next weekend??

I was at the Virginia State fair yesterday, That had a tray of turkey legs that made my mouth water.

Am I seeing correctly that you foiled the legs during cooking?

How did you rate the different rubs?

Mmmmm,

Do turkey legs come out tender? On roast turkey they are the least tender part of the bird.
