Walter Bennan, WOW, that's a blast from the past. Now I did play the country bars in Bossier City, LA. back in '76 & '77, before there was a pony track and way before the boats. We played at halftime of the long departed Shreveport Steamers of the old WFL. Also gigged at Texas Teahouse w/ the Will Barnes Band. Played the hotel circuit from Baton Rouge to Indianapolis to Atoka , MN.
Whatever payed the bills.... or mostly not ;)

Gotcha. Old timer from the Shreveport-Bossier area shined shoes over at the carwash. He knew a lot of famous folks from that part of the world. Think he was into Blues. Was interesting to listen to him and was prob making more than me on the shoe shine stand. I started to buy one once but then got to thinking about weak backs being hunkered over and stuff..so I say naw.
