Well after reading the lone review on the Cabelas model...in which the fella say it pure junk and supplied with extra plastic gears..and given no more info other than the specs..and tell ya watts breaks down into horsepower at some point...believe I would go with the sausage maker model. How come that is your only choices of where to buy one? I know some folks who been real happy with the Northern Tools stuff.

Porkert.
No gears, no motor, just like gramps (or BW used when he was knee high to a grasshopper) used.

And cheap... $25 more or less, about $2 at a garage sale.

I have a itch to get a new grinder. I like the one from the sausage maker a hundred bucks and it has reverse. I'm going there this Thursday, Don't be surprised if I come home with one. My old Maverick needs a new blade. ($5.99) So I guess I need a new grinder.

The other nice feature on the sausage maker one is it has a built in breaker no..blowing out the motor...
