Pinging Witdog

whatever that means......
Hey Dog, I'm thinking of buying a smoker for sausage.
My pit just doesn't cut it.
I'm looking for something to operate in the 130* range with lots of air flow and fired by electric.
Any ideas???

Congrads on getting your PC back.

First think about how much you plan on doing this stuff and what size loads……I’m a big fan of the sausage makers stuff…yes they tend to cost more than others but I think it’s worth the extra money….Another option would be to build you own out of an old fridge..buy the kit and save a bunch of money…
Because you live in the North you need to get one that is insulated..

I take it the Sausage Maker unit works good.
I can hear the Queen now if I stick an old frig in the back yard.

If you go with an electric I would splurge and pick this up as well.

Or at least add it to a xmass list or mothers day list…..It will save a lot of aggravation and help pro long the life off your element
I was real happy with mine from the Sausagemaker I just out grew it...like most of my shirts
Put the fridge on wheels and keep it in the garage

The smaller smokehouses the element is on all the time and you are always making small adjustements as the meat cooks...that little do hickey will cycle the element on and off and make those adjustments for you...
Give me a call sometime if you have any questions.

You humps have to pick it a bit more and increase SS pay in. I'm asking them for a large increase.

What?

You're right, time to get after it.

I've been working on my engine and today put the first coat of varnish on the new cart I built for it. Pics will be coming. She's a real show queen.
I've got a second engine waiting, plus my buddy's corn sheller, for tear-down/rebuild.
Sausage is going to be in there soon.

Here's a teaser shot...
