Welcome....not an engineer here, but how high is your ceiling/roof?
Adding a 10 foot exterior smokestack running out of your roof would likely
affect your draw. You could probably get used to it though.
Cookshack makes a smoker with a "smoke eater" for use in similar
situations.

First of all, welcome to the best bbq forum on the net. There are a lot of great people here. Some with lots of experince and others just getting into the love of the Q.

Great idea with the shed and exhaust. I have had to use a 10x10 ez up over my reverse flow when the weather gets bad.

Seems like it would be an easy thing to do by running a chimney through the roof then having a piece of pipe that could slid down out of that chimney over the cooker stack.

Welcome aboard...

re: the taller stack, as previously stated, Im sure it would affect your draw, but not neccesaserly in a bad way (wow I really butchered the spelling there)..Im guessing Mr. Klose would be able to give you an exact answer !

put a damper in the chimney above the smoker exhaust like this one.

If you are worried about the draft you could alway put one of these in.
