Welcome aboard Scott. I've not used a BSK, but there is bound to be someone on here who has and will offer up advise. Looking forward to your posts as you learn to use it.

Welcome Scott! Isn't the Big Steel Keg like the Bubba Keg? Greg has a Bubba so I'll bet he can help.

The Big Steel Keg (BSK) is the second generation Bubba Keg. I was looking at Kamado style cookers, namely the BGE, when I ran across the BSK for about half the price. I still aspire to own a BGE, but I have been very happy with the BSK so far.

Thanks for the warm welcome from all.
