New member - Bacon relationship

Hey there,

New to the forum, just a little bit about myself...

Southern boy, mid 50's, married, my mistress is bacon!!
I try to BBQ/grill at least 3 times a week, but I'm thinking of BBQ 24/7. My favorite things to smoke are pork butts and ribs and turkey. Grilling is near and dear to my heart. Chicken, steaks, burger and dogs are weekly fare, but I do some veggies for the spouse too.

When I'm not grilling/smoking ,I'm on the golf course chasing a little white ball!!

Equipment:

22" Weber kettle,
Cookin n Cajun water smoker
Assassin Smoker - as of 04/15/13

I look forward to sharing recipes, techniques and all the great things associated with BBQ.

Been hearing on TV..it may get worse before it improves. Hang in there for our NorEastern pals. Its always darkest before the dawn..blah blah blah. Heard just today the evil insurance companies are scamming the folks up there over the bad old storm which was not quite a hurricane. This is in addition to having been forced into carnal relations with the guv'ment. Not to mention the banks trying to buy up distressed properties for pennies on the dollar. Wells Fargo picked out as the particular heinous culprit. Get out when you can. All this came from the SBA lady..so suspect much of it is true.

Well I hate to take a bunch of stuff back here..but I get around golfers it makes me upset. Sorry. I get highly pissed off just looking at em. Is that normal? Actually I can tolerate em ok as long as they dont insist about talking about that nutty stuff. They are fun otherwise. Riding around on the cart having toddies can be fun.

Welcome aboard, the most golfing I've done is seeing how many trees I can make the golf ball bounce off of without damaging a vehicle, or the house... I think I'm up to three trees. As for the Nutz thing, We all nuts around here... I have a touch of pyromania that I unleash with the grill LOL. I'm sure you'll fit in nicely around here, and if you have any tips or advice postem, but remember not to post all of them. You have to have at least 1 secret recipe.

An exspurt Golfer fella work with me daily for a long time..we lived on the golf course so it was not unhandy. He claimed he could teach anybody how to play the game. He finally give up saying I was not built right. He claimed good golfers have fat asses and narrow shoulders. He say I hit the ball like I was chopping wood with an axe which aint the right swing apparently. I nearly killed several innocent folks when I give a fast moving hit and the ball goes sideways. The golf pro nagged a lot too. He say I cant wear cut offs and a wife beater sweat shirt..but he had some faggy yellow plaid pants which I could buy in the pro shoppe. I still have bad memories of all that stuff.
