New guy

Hello All,
I am a Texan living in Arkansas. I enjoy cooking outdoors but have not owned a pit in four years. "Can you imagine". Up until I had to move around a bit I owned one of the smaller pits made by www.lyfetyme.com The good friend that I sold it to will not let me buy it back. I have always used seasonings and rubs made by www.texjoy.com I keep them right next to the salt and pepper. I am about to build a double barrel smoker and look forward to getting back in the game.

Welcome Cliff,

Nice to have another Arkansas cooker on board. What part of Ark. are ya livin' in?

I'm a transplanted sort too. Born in Louisanna so long ago that all I can remember is Ark.

I'll never forget the time I had a sales call the following morning in Russellville. I went about 5 miles north on 7 (?) and found a BBQ joint called "Dewanes" . (I decided on it, because there were about 5 Trooper and Sheriff's cars in the parking lot.) Man, the look I got when I walked in there in yellow plaid shorts with a pink t-shirt was priceless!!!! You woulda thought I had snakes comin outta my head! The BBQ'd pork there was thin shaved loin. Sauce was SWEET! The combo was PLENTY! Think it cost about $7.00 ! THe company loves it when I eat BBQ! Welcome
