Hi from Spokane, WA

Hey everyone,
Barbeque is a passion of mine and I'm cooking on a WSM. I'm just getting into competition barbeque. I attended my first competition, just to watch, out here in Washington State last month and I'm hooked. I also cooked on an Ole Hickory commercial style pit for about a year in a BBQ restaurant in Ohio. I cant wait to learn from everyone here. See you in the forums.

A place called Smackies Pit BBQ just outside Columbus near New Albany. It was owned by a great guy named James. I don't think that he still has the restaurant though.

Only one I ever knew or tried was Hoggy's in New Albany Rt 62 & Morse Rd. and it too is out of business, was a great place. Seems like City BBQ is the big name in BBQ in central Ohio.

We don't have any real good BBQ around the Toledo area. Only thing here is Famous Dave's, and well that is too damn commercial. Besides I like my BBQ!

The Longhorn by me is a steak house. Yeah they server mostly steaks except for the occasional chicken.
