Welcome. I can tell from your post that you're going to like it here. The kettle is a great starter. I started with one in the late 60's.

Welcome to the forum. So what do we call you? dei1c3 sounds a little to formal and Star War'ish to me.

I highly recommend for your next purchase a Weber Smokey Mountain Smoker. Virtually set it and forget it once you get the hang of it.

Post plenty of pictures of your cooks. We like pics here! and best of luck with your Q. Ask lots of questions.

Glad to have you here!! That Kettle grill will be with you 4 life! I have many cookers and grills and that is one I still always use because of its functionality!

Welcome to the forum. You know there is some bbq fanatics in the Northwest and North East. I have found that since the season is shorter,especially the NE, they pack it in when they can. I am not sure about bbq joints up there on either side but the people bbq. Looking forward to seeing you around.
