Hello from California

Hi all,

Got the invite from 007bond-jb and it looks like I'm going to like this place.

Hate to tell you that I grill with gas, but hey! I'm in California.

I owned a fireplace/bbq store for 15 years and this last October I sold it.

Now I work in my store as an employee.

We sell 99.9% gas grills, but I want to sell more charcoal.

Looks like this is the place to learn some things.

I own:

an old DCS 36 inch gas grill

a 36 Firemagic Monarch gas grill

a Cookshack Smokette which I must get back from my brother

and a BRAND NEW Solaire Anywhere portable Infrared Gas Grill which I HATE!

If there's just a little bit of wind the burner won't stay lit and the mfg doesn't or won't do anything about it.

So.... Hello from California!

OH! I also have a cast iron hibachi brand new in the box. That thing is small!

I'll mostly be reading.

Thanks, JB!

Marlene

Welcome to the Land of Misfit Q'ers. Dont worry about the gas, a little Bean-O and there will be no gas. I have 11 grills and smokers and 4 of them are gas. We will even enjoy seeing GAS food porn too.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Can I mention store names?

I'm in Marina del Rey and the store is in Sherman Oaks.

Helen, I just checked you profile.

Padres?

I'm assuming you're a little South of me.

Actually to the north...Lompoc, Santa Barbara County. Just never was a huge Dodgers or Angels fan. I love San Diego, my brother lives there and we go to the games when I visit - Petco Park is pretty nice!

Welcome dude. I used to have gas all the time. Actually, I enjoyed it.
You'll have a smoker soon if you hang around us for long.
