From Western Massachusetts

Greetings!

I'm Andy Linkenhoker and live in Western Massachusetts. I must admit I'm not much for the kitchen, but give me an outside grill and beer in the other hand and I'm in heaven! I love grilling anything that I can get my hands on. During the summer months we camp every weekend and often end up with a nice trout to grill up for dinner. Steaks, brats, and salmon are also staples in my diet!

While my full-time job is as a local high school principal, my "fun" job is as an Advisor with Man Cave. I conduct MEATings where a group of guys come together for a grilling demo and taste some of our wonderful tri-tip steaks and 30+ brats while drinking a few beers and seeing our grilling tools and Man Cave accessories. It's the most enjoyable "job" I've had and really allows me to enjoy what I like doing: grilling, drinking, camping, and having fun!

I look forward forward to gaining some new techniques and recipes and hopefully can share some ideas of my own!

Take care!

Hey Andy welcome. Sounds like you got things under control up there in MA. Glad your here. Never got a chance to explore the NE part of the map but we have some friends who moved to Boston and claim to love it. Bar on every corner..History everywhere..best seafood in town..blah blah blah. Figgered if I ever get up thataway bound to be able to swing an invite for tea and crumpets with the Kennedys. Whatcha think? Maybe a Scotch and water. Do highly admire school teachers and admin folks. Great job yall do. Wished they paid you what it was worth.

Re: From Western Massachusetts

Thanks for the welcoming comments! I've been part of other forums and have never received such a nice reception.

I really can't complain about Massachusetts living...besides the taxes...snow...crazy drivers...

In all reality, life is good and I'm counting down the days when Spring arrives and we can start living outside again! Bigwheel, you better book your vacation here before all the Kennedy's die and you don't get your invite!

Take care everyone.

Welcome to the forum Andy. You sound like our kind of people. I spent one day in Boston on a job about 38 years ago. Really liked the police with their funny looking hats and strange way of talking. Not sure if they still ware the Smokey the Bear hats but I bet they still talk funny.
