NoVA prices

This morning's food section in the WashPost has a short piece about a place called Carolina Brothers Pit Barbecue, Ashburn VA. I thought you caterers might be interested in the prices they charge for Q by the pound.

I appreciate that John. Looks like pulled chicken is pretty
popular up there.

Still can't believe the guy here in town is getting 15 bucks a pound
for pulled pork.

Since I first posted this we've eaten there twice. A couple of offset pits out front, and the owner/pitmaster goes back and forth to keep a check on things. They post on a small blackboard indoors where "today's pig" came from (NC). The food's not bad, but I like mine better. However, it's nice to know there's somewhere nearby where I can go when I get a hankering.

(It's the only place I've seen up here where my favorite sauce -- Scott's of Goldsboro NC -- is sold!)

Cool. I can pick up some Scott's when I see you in September.
