In a pinch I used the following once to make 5 gallons at a time:

2 Ĺ gallons catsup
6 c. tomato sauce
1 qt. white vinegar
6 c. unsulphured molasses
2 lbs. brown sugar
3 c. Worcestershire sauce
2 c. liquid smoke
1 c. Louisiana hot sauce
c. salt
1 gallon water
10 oz. Cookshack Spicy Barbecue Sauce Mix
Mix all ingredients. Bring to 190įF and simmer 10 minutes.

The Cookshack Spicy Barbecue Sauce Mix can be found at
http://store.cookshack.com/c-150-spicy- ... y-mix.aspx

However, since then I have used my own spices with the recipe and cut the liquid smoke in half. It ain't grandpas famous but if the ribs are good the sauce will complement. It is all-purpose.
