People have actually deep fried whole rib eyes. I can give you a recipe.

Pork chops that have been breaded and fried are excellent.
You can fry a cubed steak and get a fabulous country fried steak.

For most beef, grill.

For most pork, smoke.

Never heard of frying babyback ribs. If you do that, please let us know the results.

You can deep fry almost any meat with good results. If your oil is at the proper temp deep frying is considered 'dry heat' cooking. 8-[
