I hate to admit it but I've tried deep frying a butt before. DON'T DO IT!!! Not sure about the ham though.

Larry, what happened with the deep fryed butt ? It almost sounds like it might have worked..Crispy on the outside..moist and juicy inside..or not ???

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fat too be deep fried, at least in my experience.

It came out very black, no it didn't fall apart either.
