Cast iron Grates

I'm looking into upgrading to cast iron grates. Any input pros or cons.

22.5 Inch Grill Grates For BBQ & Charcoal Grills And Kettles

Price is a little steep but you get what you pay for. Very heavy duty and great for sear marks and heat retention. They are heavy and can be cumbersome to move around. I have no regrets getting mine.

Just don't get the porcelain coated cast iron grates. The porcelain will crack and with repeated scrapping with a grill brush the porcelain wears off.
