Yesterday I opened up a pork loin and marinated it in this:

1/2 c red wine
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c red wine vinegar
1/4 c ketchup
1/4 c hoisin sauce
1 tsp 5 spice powder
2 tablespoons soya sauce
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 cloves garlic minced or chopped fine

Then today I made a stuffing of this:

Leftover cornbread crumbled. I am guessing I used about 4 cups.
1 onion finely minced sauteed in butter
a handfull of chives chopped fine, tsp of sage, some salt & pepper
mixed in an egg and enough chicken stock to make it spreadable.

Cooked it in the oven (ok so it is raining out this was supposed to go on the wsm) at 350 until internal temp was 155 then i rested it for 1/4 hr. Approx 1.5-2 hrs

It turned out nice with a great color. I am going to reduce some of the leftover marinade to make a sauce and serve it with a mushroom risotto and some broccoli florets.

they are called food loops. I saw a picture of them on a BBQ forum so i emailed the gent then went and bought them.

I love them they will tie up anything. Dishwasher safe oven safe smoker safe. Much better than twine.

I got some of those for X mas and still haven't tried them out.
My wife was kind of iffy on getting them for me because they only come in the "hot pink" color
What did you think of them?

Great recipe too :D

I love them. I hate kitchen twine. I can never find it in our house. I put it in the drawer and the kids take it for crafts etc. So this works for me.

Great for even tying up asparagus in a pot of water they are great with all tied up meats.

I would recommend them for everyone.

That looks great... I made one at Christmas stuffed with apples & cranberrys

No i haven't used them for grilling just on the smoker and the oven. They are probably worried about super high temps.

Thank you Cliff.

I pulled the leftovers out for tonights dinner. They tasted better the second time round.

well thank you very much however I may have to get a bit more creative and cut back on um the good stuff.

Hubby has gained about 60 pounds in the last 3 years.

Right now he is getting a check up LOL I am sure the Dr. Will give him an earful.
