Ingredients
1 stick butter
1 medium chopped onion
2 green bell peppers, chopped
2 lbs beef round or sirloin steak, cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups chopped tomatoes
1 beef boullion cube
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt (I omit this)

In a Dutch oven, melt the butter and add the onions and bell peppers. Saute for about 2 minutes.

Add the beef and sprinkle with the garlic and coook until the meat is brown.

After meat is browned add the rest of the ingredients and cook until meat is tender and sauce thickens. Serve over white rice.

Personal additions: I omit the salt. I also add waterchestnuts and bamboo shoots for a bit more texture. The last thing I do is thicken with corn starch to make more of a gravy.

This is a dish my mom cooked when I was a child and my family always loved it. Hope you enjoy!
