I'd do a chuck roast, about a 5-6lber, do it on the smoker and take that puppy up to about 170, foil it, take it up to 190, then let it rest for about an hour, then you'll have you some of the best pulled beef (confederate pot roast) you can find.

8-[ I did something really stupid. While eating dinner with some friends they made Yankee Pot Roast. I complimented them on the pot roast and said that my Confederate Pot Roast was better. I told them it was one of my special grill foods.

To make a long story short... I have to make a Confederate Pot Roast some time in May. Is there such a thing? If not can you guys suggest something that I can make on a grill, or smoker, that can pass for a Confederate Pot Roast?

What would that BBQ U guy do?

LOL! Now that is a funny story! Consider brisket if they've never had it!
