Subscriptions

Is it me, or is there a big thing with subscriptions here. I have mentioned it before. It seems that when you click on a topic, you automatically get throw into a subscription to that topic. Is it just me, or does this bother others? I know that we can go into our User Control Panel, and manually delete the subscriptions, but every time that you click onto a topic it just adds the subscription back. Is there any way we can just turn this function off. I don't need to get 30 emails everyday to tell me that someone has posted on a topic, that sometimes I am not even involved in.

Don't want to step on anyones toes, just sayin.

I aint never subscribed to nothing and dont normally get too much nonsense. Now still aint quite figgered out what is up with the big screen at the top telling me I have private mail. That is a little creepy. I clicked it the other and it seemed to be fixing to take an unsuspecting person to a gay porno site or something like that..maybe discounts on tires. It was hard to tell. It aint wise to click it.

Open the User CP, then on the left hand side of the page under Settings & Options select Edit Options. There is a Default Thread Subscription Mode where you can adjust your subscriptions, mine is set to No email notification. See if that helps. You still get subscribed but don't get any emails.

We have the Private Messages which is a way for users to communicate without posting it publicly. Don't know about your friends on the tire swing there BW...
