Weekend at the Rivah

Just got back from guys weekend at the Corrotoman River. We rented this house.

Got down Friday afternoon and set up the "kitchen".

View from the "kitchen"

Had a few appetizers before starting dinner.

Friday dinner. Brined pork chops, new potatoes & green beans.

Potatoes getting a head start.

Added the beans (in foil - I forgot my mesh pan) and some garlic oil for some bread.

Plated. Forgot to snap an "action" pic of the chops.

Saturday breakfast...all just done on the stove.

Saturday lunch. Wings 2 ways, Buffalo & Cornell

On. Buffalo on the left Cornell on the right.

Halfway there.

Plated.

Saturday dinner. Tri-tips, twice baked potatoes and provolone & prosciutto wrapped asparagus

Everything ready.

Tris on.

Potatoes and asparagus on.

Resting.

Sides done.

Plated.

What a great weekend. Thanks for looking!

Re: Weekend at the Rivah

Holy S#@%! First the place looks spectacular! Second the food looks out of this world! Third, you didn't ruin your Irish whiskey by adding coke to it! Excellent job all the way through! I vote this as outstanding post of the month!

Re: Weekend at the Rivah

I'm flabbergasted. Your manly man type pals should pick up your share of the laundry bill on that deal. In the least. Heck you could prob work your way up to getting them to pay ya. I will give it some thought. Now why do anybody want to drink Irish Whiskey? It aint nothing but 2nd rate Scotch as far as I can tell. They age it in twice used oak barrells blah blah blah. Whut am I missing here? Thanks. I always like to learn new stuff.
