My 8yd old son has strep throat. After a morning doctor office visit and a trip to the grocery store to fill a prescription, I couldn't resist the butterfly chops in the meat window while we were there:)

I couldn't resist after looking at these in the window....

Seasoned and ready to bag until dinner:

Yea...the the little guy is running a fever and not feeling very well now, but he'll be OK. he's got some medicine in him now.... :D

Hell, yeah! Lookin' great so far!!

When my daughter was 1 she got an ear infection. Being new parents, mom and I both went to the doctor to find out what was wrong. We ended up at the pharmacy for some antibiotics. The pharmacist told us it would be 15-20 minutes until the prescription would be ready. I said to my wife, "I'll be right back". She said, "you're going next door to look at the meat case in the grocery store aren't you?" Me, "Yup". Her, "eyeroll".

Sorry to hear your son is sick. That's never fun for the kid or parents. Strep is no-joke. I get it at the drop of a hat. Hope he is feeling better soon!

I can just see it now...you with your son going to the store after the doctor to get him the perscription and you walk in, see those and just stop you in your tracks. All your focus turns to that...your son telling you he feels awful as you're starring at the pork and you say "I know we'll get your stuff in a minute hold on" lol

Hey, I resemble that remark!

Brings back memories of when my Dad was in Viet Nam in the 60's. We lived with my Grandmother in the farmhouse where my Dad grew up. He enlisted in '41 and was commanding an infantry division in Viet Nam. This was his third war so he was somewhat of a local hero. Mom would call the family friend chicken and pork farmer down the road to order pork chops for stuffing and I'd go pick them up. They were at least 3" thick and the prettiest chops I've ever seen. Small town America was great back in those days.
I guess this is a bit off topic.

Oh geez, I'm slacking on producing pics!!

Veeery flavorful...that Zarda BBQ rub rocks!! My daughter was in the doghouse Monday night because she knew I was grilling and she loves my chops. I was thinking of her when I chose the darn things. She said was reaaaaly hungry and ate something after school and it spoiled her appetite so I've been eating leftovers (chop-sandwiches) for the past 2 days.........Hahaha
I finally polished off the last bite yesterday. You can see where I started to make a cut, and then stopped to take a pic. Then I was planning to take a pic after the cut, but my damn camera wouldn't take the pic!!! LOL.....maybe it's time to get a new camera!!

PS...I don't know what the deal is. Sometimes my camera won't take a pic when I tell it too!!!!! If I turn the flash off, it works fine. I guess I could have taken a picture without the flash but the colors aren't as vivid without a flash ;)

YUMMMM

Hahaha...you and I think alike!!

PS...my daughter had a terrible time with ear infections when she was little. She's had soooo many that she's needed 4 reconstructive surgeries to repair damage done by them. She turns 14 tomorrow and we still take her to see a specialist regularly to monitor the healing progress. (she has tears that won't stay healed) More surgery may still be needed.......she went through ear infection hell.
